3 Characters Cast in The Punisher

Marvel has announced three pieces of casting news for their upcoming Punisher Netflix series. They've confirmed casting of Ben Barnes, though not as Bobby Saint. He'll be playing Castle's old special forces friend, Billy Russo, who now runs a private military contractor called Anvil. Ebon Moss-Bachrach will play Micro (a character who's been rumored for several months), an ex-NSA analyst. Finally, Amber Rose Revah will play Dinah Madani, a Homeland Security agent charged with bringing in Frank. Showrunner Steve Lightfoot commented,

I’m really excited about the cast we're assembling alongside Bernthal as Frank Castle. I look forward to watching Ben, Ebon and Amber embody these characters and breathe vivid life into the story we are crafting for this season of 'Marvel's The Punisher.

Marvel head of TV Jeph Loeb said,

We couldn’t be more thrilled about the remarkable talent joining Jon Bernthal in 'Marvel’s The Punisher.' Ebon, Ben and Amber are incredibly talented actors and we can’t wait to see them bring these characters to life.

They've also confirmed a 2017 air date, which I'm not sure was confirmed before.
