Captain Marvel Director Announcement Delayed

I'm not sure whether this movie just isn't a high priority for Marvel or if they love it so much, they want to get it absolutely right. We've had two release date delays, the lead actress was announced months after they promised she would be, and now we won't find out the director until later than we thought. A few months ago, Kevin Feige promised we would know the director by the end of the year. Now, Variety journalist Justin Kroll has stated that Marvel won't choose a director until after the script treatment sometime early next year. Thankfully, we've got wiggle room, as the film doesn't need to start filming for several months to meet its release date.
