The Six Thatchers Synopsis
The BBC has released the synopsis for the fourth season premiere of Sherlock.
In episode one of this new series, written by Mark Gatiss, Sherlock waits to see where Moriarty will make his posthumous move.
One mysterious case in particular baffles Scotland Yard - but Sherlock is more interested in a seemingly-trivial detail. Why is someone destroying images of the late Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher? The BBC has released a short teaser (containing no actual footage) from Sherlock season four.
Flash Sees Best Ratings in 2 Years
It seems crossovers are good for business. Last night's episode of The Flash saw the highest ratings since the 2014 mid-season finale, according to TVLine. Invasion! drew 4.09 million viewers and a 1.5 demo rating. Now if only Barry could crossover to the MCU, then we'd get some really good ratings.
Inhumans Air Date
As previously announced, a new inhumans TV show will air on IMAX and ABC next fall. IMAX CEO Greg Foster has now confirmed that the first two episodes will air in IMAX theaters for two weeks starting around September 1. The show will then air on ABC every week starting September 26 for eight weeks. It's uncertain how that will affect the scheduling of Agents of SHIELD (which hasn't been renewed yet). My guess is either SHIELD will keep the 10pm slot and Inhumans will run at 8 or 9 or SHIELD will start later in the fall.

Lynda Carter Was Originally in Invasion!

In an interview with Comicbook.com, Marc Guggenheim said that Lynda Carter was in the first draft of Invasion!. For those who don't watch Supergirl, she plays President Olivia Marsdin on Earth-38 (what they're officially calling Supergirl's universe). The plan was for her to be vice president on Earth-1 and take over after the Dominators killed the president. However, the CW deemed that too confusing and scrubbed it.

Kennedy Denies Rogue One Sequel
In the latest issue of Empire Magazine, Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy denied that there will be a sequel to Rogue One. The given reason is that the film is explicitly a prequel to A New Hope.

Supergirl Sees Highest Ratings of Season
Last night, Supergirl saw its highest ratings since the move from CBS (which has inherently higher ratings). It scored 3.5 million viewers and a demo rating of 1.1. This was 34% more than last week and 14% more than the season premiere (which previously had the highest ratings of the season). Last night was also the network's highest-rated Monday since January 2010.
If you were worried about cancellation, fear not. Supergirl has been in the CW's top three programs since October.

Doug Jones & Anthony Rapp Cast in Discovery
CBS has announced two new pieces of casting for Star Trek: Discovery. Doug Jones will play Lt. Saru, a science officer who's a member of a new alien species (as yet unseen to the audience). Anthony Rapp will play a fungus expert known as Lieutenant Stamets.

Dominators Will Return
At a screening of the DC TV crossover today, Andrew Kreisberg confirmed the Dominators will appear later this season on Supergirl. It's unclear which universe the Dominators will be from in the reappearance.
