Jyn vs TIE Fighter Scene Created for Trailer

Some of the trailers for Rogue One featured a shot of Jyn staring down a TIE fighter on top of the Scarif radio tower. That shot did not appear in the movie and now director Gareth Edwards has explained that it was never meant to.

It was something the marketing team fell in love with. We knew it would not be in the film. It’s one of those things where all the trailers are put together way before the film comes out. It wasn’t a specific part of the story.
