The BBC has confirmed that the first episode of Doctor Who series 9 will be 50 minutes long. It airs on Saturday the 19th at the following times. The Australian channel ABC will also make it available online via iView starting as soon as it airs in Britain.

- Canada: 9/8c on Space
- Australia: 7:40pm AEST on ABC (Sept. 20)
- New Zealand: 7:30pm on Prime (Sept. 20)
- Asia/Pacific: 10:00am SGT on BBC Entertainment (Sept. 20)
- Benelux: 9:00pm CEST on BBC First (Sept. 22)
- Finland: 6:00pm EEST on YLE2 (Sept. 28)
- South Africa: 6:00pm SAST on BBC First (Oct. 24)
- India: on FX (time/date TBC)
- Germany: December 2015 on Fox (time/date TBC)
- Italy: Early 2016 on RAI4 (time/date TBC)
