Amy and Rory's Ages

In today's episode, Dinosaurs on a Spaceship, Rory revealed that he's 31 years old. This doesn't actually tell us much about Amy's age or their current year, due to the fact that we don't actually know what year he was born in. We know Amy was born in 1989 because she was 7 when she first met the Doctor, and 14 years later it was 2010. As far as I can tell, Rory is a few years older than Amy, just because when she was 19, he had already completed nursing school and was working in a hospital. I don't know how many years of medical school you need to become a nurse, but it must require at least a 4-year degree, which makes him at least 3 years older than Amy. That would make her no more than 28 in this week's episode, which would put their current time as no later than 2017.
