Mahershala Ali Cast in Luke Cage

Marvel has cast Mahershala Ali (House of Cards, Mockingjay) in Luke Cage as Cornell "Cottonmouth" Stokes. Cottonmouth is described as "a Harlem nightclub owner, will become an unexpected foe in Luke’s life when Stokes’ criminal activities threaten Luke’s world." Marvel head of television Jeph Loeb commented,

Mahershala is an actor of extraordinary range and gravitas. As Cottonmouth he will really let loose. Luke Cage won’t know what hit him.
