TV Line has
revealed five new characters that will be joining Supergirl's second season, including two series regulars and three recurring roles. The first is Lena Luthor, Lex Luthor's kid sister. She's described as
in the 25-35 year old range, arrives in town to get out from under the
shadow of her infamous brother. She’s described as sexy and smart and
determined to get what she wants. But what does she want? That remains unclear.
The second series regular is Nick Farrow, described as
a “brash leading man” who butts heads with Kara at CatCo. The son of a
famous reporter, Nick is “looking to make a name for himself in the news
world but the question of whether he can leave behind his former
selfish and hedonistic ways will constantly arise. In hanging out with
Kara, the hero in Nick might finally come out.”
The three recurring roles are The Doctor, who works for Project Cadmus implanting alien tech in prisoners; Snapper Carr, a new journalist appointed by Cat to lead the news division; and Maggie Sawyer, a detective for the newly formed Science Police. The article describes Maggie in a way that makes her sound LGBT+, but that could be me misinterpreting it. No actors or actresses have been cast for any of the roles yet.
