Deadline is
reporting that Emmanuelle Chriqui has landed the series regular role of Lana Lang in the CW's upcoming show. Lang is an existing character character from the comics, notably played by Kristin Kreuk in
Smallville. This version of her is described as,
the loan officer at Smallville Bank who stayed in Smallville when others left for something bigger and brighter. Lana re-establishes her friendship with her old friend, Clark Kent, during one of the most difficult periods in her life.
