Anson Mount Cast in Star Trek: Discovery

CBS has cast Anson Mount (yes, that dude from Inhumans, but he's probably had better roles) as Original Series character Christopher Pike, Captain of the USS Enterprise (before Kirk took command).

Anson Mount Cast in Inhumans

Marvel has officially cast Anson Mount in the lead role Black Bolt in their Inhumans TV series. Black Bolt is the king of the city of Attilan and has the power to produce great destructive power through his voice, leading him to be mute as a precaution. Marvel head of television Jeph Loeb commented,

Anson loves the challenge of playing a character who will only communicate silently. His enthusiasm mixed with his imposing almost regal persona made it easy to see why he is our Black Bolt.

Inhumans showrunner Scott Buck said,

Black Bolt is a character whose deep complexity must be conveyed without uttering a single word, and I’m very excited to have Anson on board to bring him to life.
