Susan Walters Returning to The Flash
Actress Susan Walters has confirmed she'll be returning next season on The Flash as Caitlin's mother. She was last seen in the season three episode, "Monster."

Susan Walters Cast in The Flash
The CW has cast Susan Walters (The Vampire Diaries) as Caitlin's mother on The Flash, according to Entertainment Weekly. Dr. Carla Tannhauser is described as,
a world class biomedical engineer and CEO of a major research company. But while Caitlin may have inherited her mother’s formidable scientific mind, the two have long had a difficult relationship, with Caitlin finding her mother cold and withholding, and Carla regarding her daughter as rebellious and ungrateful.
