Dark Water Review

So we finally found out who Missy was. Turns out one of the more popular fan theories was right, she's the Master. I actually preferred the theory that she was the Black Guardian. That tied in more with her dark outfit and what I believe to be the interference of the White Guardian in The End of Time (how else could the Doctor's mom have gotten in and out of the time lock so easily while dressed in all white?). Now of course, all Moffat has to do is explain how the Master escaped their fate at the end of The End of Time. I mean, he's been laying the foundation for a transgender regeneration since The End of Time, Part 2.

Someone on Tumblr pointed out the foreshadowing going on in this season. In several episodes, there have been circle things with a bit in the corner, resembling a Cyberman eye. There was the Sun in the Kill the Moon promo pic, the solar flare in In the Forest of the Night, Gus' monocle in Mummy on the Orient Express, and the windows on 3W's doors. There was some more, but I can't find the original post, so that's all I can remember.

How did the Doctor not get the whole Cyberman thing earlier? I mean, not only were the doors a dead giveaway, but there was the whole artificial exoskeleton thing. A non-organic exoskeleton, exactly like the metal case of a Cyberman. The only reason for the whole dark water thing was probably to hide the Cybermen in case UNIT or the Doctor ever came looking. But then why would Dr. Chang explain it to the Doctor? The Doctor was probably too distracted by the whole mess with Clara/Danny to notice the connection, though he did say something about how he had seen it before.
