Big Finish has released a trailer for the long-awaited (seriously, it's been ten years) Doctor Who spin-off featuring the Doctor's daughter, Jenny. The series will be released this June and can currently be pre-ordered for US$20 ($32.79 for a CD, prices will go up after release).

Petition to Get Jenny Her Own Spin-Off Show
I've decided that the Doctor's daughter, Jenny, needs to get her own spin-off. I already posted about this here, but I've decided to take this seriously and get the BBC to actually make this show.
A new spin-off featuring Jenny would serve a couple of purposes. First, it would keep the fandom sane during the increasingly long waits between seasons. In the past, Torchwood and SJA have kept the fans busy between seasons of Doctor Who. Now, Elisabeth Sladen is dead and Torchwood is on hiatus. We need something to keep the fans from going crazy and doing something like forming a lynch mob. Second, as the last Time Lady, Jenny deserves to have her story told. Last we saw her, in the 2008 episode The Doctor's Daughter, she took a bullet for her dad and ended up dying. After she didn't regenerate for a while, the Doctor & his friends left. After that, she partially regenerated and went off in a spaceship to explore the universe. We never saw her again, and to this day, her fate remains a mystery.
I am hereby requesting that you sign this petition to get the BBC to listen to us. If we can get enough of the fandom onboard, we can force them to respond. So sign the petition, then share it with all your friends however you can: Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, email, etc. We can do this!

Replacement for SJA Featuring Jenny
I know Sarah Jane/Elisabeth Sladen was dear to all of our hearts and no one could ever replace her, but sooner or later the BBC is going to need a new spin-off from Doctor Who. I would like to suggest one featuring Jenny (the Doctor's daughter, not the lame other one). I'm thinking a children's show as a direct replacement for the Sarah Jane Adventures.
The show could be announced immediately after the conclusion of Series 7 of Doctor Who and Season 1 could air in late summer as part of the 50th Anniversary celebrations. Right now, the only Doctor Who spin-off is Torchwood, which is currently dead in the water. They're going to need something new and fresh and exciting, and the end of The Doctor's Daughter just leaves one massive plot hole that needs filling.
Basically, it goes something like this. Jenny traveled back to 2005 Earth with a vortex manipulator she got from "some Stormcage inmate" (River Song) and got a job as a secret agent for Torchwood 1. Using her time traveler's knowledge of history, she managed to escape the Battle of Canary Wharf and the events of Children of Earth. She now lives in a London high-rise apartment with her completely ordinary roommate/lesbian girlfriend. Due to this being a children's show, the romantic involvement is minimized (she tells people she is in a relationship, but never says with whom, and she is strongly implied to be lesbian). She goes around eradicating minor alien invasions in Britain. She also sometimes has to stop humans from attacking aliens who simply crashed and have no understanding of Earth culture and thus did something offensive.
Sometime during season 2, she and her dad finally meet when they go after the same alien. After that episode, she continues, only with her own sonic screwdriver and the Doctor popping in once every now and then. The Doctor can explain to her that the reason she only partially regenerated was because she was only a few hours old. He could explain that regenerative functions don't fully take hold until age 3 or so.
She runs a website where people can report alien sightings and view advice on what to do in the event of an alien encounter. She makes money from the advertising revenue from that blog (plus her former massive Torchwood salary). This is also sometimes where she finds out about the alien for that episode.
I really hope someone from the BBC reads this, because this is one of my more serious proposals and could actually be made into a successful show. If they want the 50th Anniversary to be massive, I can see no better way than bringing back a Time Lady and giving her her own show.

Theory for New Companion
Moffat is not telling us the name of the new companion, which probably means she's a returning character. If she's being played by a new actor, then she must be a Time Lady who's regenerated. The only Time Ladies we've met are Susan, Romana, and Jenny (who doesn't have proper regenerative capabilities). If it's Romana or Susan, they might have been hiding in the TARDIS' cryogenic chamber (Moffat did say she'd be in the last place the Doctor would ever suspect, which could be his own TARDIS). After being in there for two centuries, her brain might have been addled and she'd be unable to remember how she got there. If the new companion was Jenny, she could have undergone a proper regeneration later on. She then could have been captured by the Daleks and held for interrogation on Skaro (the Doctor wouldn't expect to find a friend there, would he?). The Doctor would then have to come rescue her. Her interrogation by the Daleks could have damaged her brain, leading her to forget how she first came to be captured. The only problem with the Jenny theory (other than suddenly being able to regenerate properly) is that it doesn't seem very Christmas-y. Then again, all the Christmas specials whose plots haven't been copied from a book haven't been very Christmas-y.
