Variety is reporting that Bryan Fuller will be stepping down from the post of Star Trek: Discovery showrunner due to time commitments with other projects. He will remain an executive producer, with producers Gretchen Berg and Aaron Harberts taking over day-to-day operations. This follows an announcement a few weeks ago that the premiere date would be pushed back from January to May. One thing that's a bit troubling is that Variety claims the lead character has still not been cast, when filming begins next month.
